No Title This Time

I've been slacking off on the blog lately, but February was crazy with going to Birthday parties, I went to a different party every weekend, and what was cool was that every party was with different groups of people so it's always good to be able to see people you don't see that often, and not having to party with the same people every weekend is good.

So Happy Birthday to everybody who celebrated in February, I know it's March, but I didn't post much last month, so there you go.

Yesterday, I got back into curling, I declined to rejoin my team this season. Just basically wanted to take a break from it. Well yesterday, the people that organizes sports had a curling bonspiel, this was my first bonspiel, and we had a great time. For a turnout, Andrea our team captain, sent a email blast asking for people who were interested, well 7 people including myself replied, so we had enough to form two teams. Our team was called 'People Who Live in Glass Houses Shouldn't Throw Rocks" We went for the longest team name possible. I'm not sure what our other team's name was. We ended up placing second overall, just behind the first place team (which whom we beat). We walked away with a 3-1 record. One thing about curling that we don't get to see on TV is that Curling Bonspiels are basically a reason to get drunk. How it works is the winning team buys the loosing team a drink after the game. How this Bonspiel worked was we played 1 hour, break 1 hour, and during the break we drink and find ways of keeping ourselves occupied, so drinking we played scrabble and cards. So it kind of sucked to have a 3-1 record since that means, we had to buy 3 rounds.

So after a day of curling and drinking, some of us continued the bender well into the evening, we went over to a few peoples place and had more to drink. I ended up going a 12 hour bender. Some of my friends went to go see some CMW shows that are happening this weekend. I bailed, I was too drunk, too tired, and felt like highschool kid since I was still walking around with a bag. Made me feel like the asshole that has to bring his bag of possessions with him everywhere he goes. I didn't want to be that guy that has to bring a bag with him to a club.

It was a lot fun, the most fun I had all day in a long time. Really looking forward to the next Bonspiel.
