Been kinda quite

It's been a busy summer, work, scootering, meeting new people. But with all good things, an end usually comes.

I got news about possibly getting laid off about a month ago, and got the confirmation last Thursday. The end came. At least with the heads up, I was able to update my resumé and as soon as it was confirmed, they were sent out. I sent out 2 and got 2 replies right away, went to 1 interview, and got 2 offers. I declined on the first offer, after I was told I would probably get the second. Which I got, they offered me more than what I was getting so it was a no brainer, and it's the same work, I basically just followed the work, I even have a few familiar faces that will be working with me. So it all worked out in the end. It'll be sad to go, but off to newer and better things. Thanks to Mijo for the support and help in not leaving me hanging in such a bad time, and for giving me a start on my career, well my first job where I wasn't trying to run things any ways.

Congrats to Alex & Aga

Last weekend I was up in Bobcaygeon for my soon to be ex co-workers Alex and Aga, they work in the same company that I'm leaving, wedding. Beautiful day for a wedding.

I went up alone to meet up with some people who I was sharing a motel room with, great place, right on the water, we had a nice huge balcony that over looks the canal. Driving up there, I got lost, and over shot it, drove back, totally defeated the purpose of trying to get there early. But I met Alex at the church and got the 411 on shooting etiquette at the church. Aga didn't want dressing room shots, so easier for me. Got the business with the church, went and signed in with motel we're staying at, got changed, and just walked back to the church, which was just a 5 minute walk. Did some tests, and few shots around the church while waiting for the guests to arrive. It was a nice Catholic ceremony. Afterwards did a few shots of the couple and wedding party in a undisclosed field, and around the water. Went back to motel to take a break, and then headed to the reception. Stayed all night until the newlywed left.

I agreed to drive Alex's younger sister back to Toronto. I got lost again coming back, what should have been a 2 hour drive took me about 4, but finally got home and realized I lost a memory card. Thankfully I was shooting with 2 cameras, and was still able to capture almost everything. Lost a few good shots of the reception, but I still got the important shots.
